Six new COVID-19 cases in Queensland as advice changes for passengers on two Virgin flights with confirmed case
Queensland health authorities have overturned a decision to quarantine all passengers from two flights over Christmas, as the state records six new COVID-19 cases.
One of the new cases is a soldier who had travelled from Newcastle to Brisbane and then Brisbane to Townsville on Monday, the day the state's borders reopened to COVID hotspots.
Newcastle is currently grappling with a rapidly-growing COVID-19 cluster, linked to a superspreader event at a nightclub.
