Gold Coast Airport redevelopment to generate 1500 jobs

Work began today on the $370 million Gold Coast Airport redevelopment which is expected to generate 1500 jobs.

The project will include a three-level terminal, with the coast’s first aerobridges, additional retail space and new boarding and departure lounges.

There will also be new baggage handling and border control facilities.

The existing terminal is currently operating beyond capacity.
